PLACING A BID — STEP BY STEP

Bidding on a lot couldn't be easier. Follow the steps below.

1. REGISTER TO BID (before the sale)
To place a bid you first need an account. Complete the online registration form on this site.

2. ACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT (straight after registering)
We'll email you an activation link. CHECK YOUR SPAM OR JUNK FOLDER if it isn't in your inbox, and add our email address to your trusted contacts so you receive every auction email. Can't find it? Contact the auction team below.

3. PLACE A BID (once activated)
Log in, go to the lot you want, enter your bid and accept the auction conditions. Before you confirm, the system shows any additional fees, such as VAT (EU countries only) and commission. Then click Confirm Bid.

4. BID CONFIRMATION (every bid)
You'll receive a confirmation email for each bid you place. Again, check your spam or junk folder if it doesn't arrive.

5. TRACK YOUR BIDS (throughout)
Everything you've bid on is in the My Bids section of your account. If you're outbid, we'll email you and the lot will show as Outbid.

6. WINNING A LOT (at the close)
If you're the highest bidder, you'll receive an email with further instructions, and a member of the auction team will contact you to confirm your purchase and next steps.

LATE BIDS EXTEND THE CLOCK

If a bid is placed in the final five minutes before a lot closes, bidding on that lot is extended by five minutes from the time of the last bid. When no further bids are placed, bidding closes. This does not delay the closing times of the lots that follow.

BIDDING SCHEDULE (provisional)

BOOK 1 — Lots TBC
Bidding opens: Monday 2nd November, 10:00 GMT
Bidding closes: Wednesday 4th November, from 19:00 GMT

BOOK 2 — Lots TBC
Bidding opens: Tuesday 3rd November, 10:00 GMT
Bidding closes: Thursday 5th November, from 19:00 GMT

Lots close one at a time, one lot every three minutes from 19:00. Each horse's page shows the time remaining before bidding on that lot closes. Lot numbers will be confirmed when the catalogue is published.

BEFORE YOU BID

See the horses in person on the viewing days, Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd November. Every lot is sold with an agreed vetting and a set of 21 digital X-rays, available for your own vet to examine before the sale. Special sale rates are available at Monart Destination Spa, a two-minute walk from the horses.
